Internship Opportunities with the Voltage


Public Relations & Youth Coordinator (Vermont youth clubs - January through May/September):
***The main focus of the public relations (PR) Director will be to keep Vermont Voltage in the public eye. The team needs to have community recognition on a daily basis through newsprint, radio, television, public appearances, visiting local schools - presentations. Writing press releases, creating events that draw the media, setting up interviews, writing articles of interest are ALL part of the PR Director's responsibilities. 
Candidates should have a desire to deal with the local media personalities, be creative, and be able to write clearly and concisely and have passion for professional sports and how the business end works.
***Coordinate contacts with all main people from Vermont Youth Soccer Clubs and try to bring all Vermont youth soccer players to the games. YOUTH SOCCER NIGHTS!!! This is for internship / full time position.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator (January through May/September):
***The Sales and Marketing Coordinator (SMC) must be able to approach potential sponsor's in the Northern Vermont area and be able to show them the value of spending advertising dollars with the Vermont's Premier Soccer Team. The Voltage are selling many different advertisement packages all of which can have a direct effect on the community as well as their bottom line. The SMC must be able to sell the advertising packages as well as follow through with the details of the advertising to fulfill the sponsor's expectations.This is for internship / full time position.

Event Manager (January through May/September):
***Event Manager (EM) Is responsible for all game-day events. Scheduling and organizing partners events during the pre-game, half time and post-game. Assist in all game-day operations such as: Merchandise booth, concession stand, Press box, all other related activities. The EM must be able to think on their feet and deal with unexpected situations .This is for internship / full time position.

Voltage Soccer School Coordinator (January through May/September):
***Voltage soccer school is a big part of the Voltage organization. Youth camps and player appearances in elementary and high schools are very important . Without camps and our fans there is no Voltage. That is why the person for this job needs to be very communicative, very creative, and eager to promote Voltage youth camps and Voltage player appearances. In addition, this person will be involved in all of the game-day operations. This is for internship / full time position..

Voltage Web Page Director-Designer (Year Round):
*** The Web Page Director-Designer will be responsible for designing the Vermont Voltage Web Page and keeping the Web Page updated with current news, team results, photos, etc. This person should be enrolled in a program of studies involving computer programming and should have some experience in designing Web Pages. We are looking for someone with a lot of creativity, computer experience, and who likes a challenge. This is for internship / full time position.

***Television production interns must be pursuing course work in television productions, communications, or other related fields. Must be available for nights and weekends production work. Will be responsible for camera operations, studio crew and mobile multiple camera production works. May, June and July.This is for internship / full time position.
