Bojan Vuckovic Vermont Voltage

Bo Vuckovic

General Manager, Owner

Former MLS Players member of Montreal Impact and New England Revolution, Bojan (Bo) Vuckovic knows soccer. After all, he’s played the sport at the highest levels in the United States and Europe. But Bo’s not just a player. He bought the Vermont Voltage in 1999 and in one season transformed it not only into a playoff team, but also into the most improved franchise in the 130-team United Soccer League. Bo’s love affair with soccer began early.

His immense skill translated into a spot on the prestigious Partizan Soccer Club, as well as a place on the Yugoslavian Youth National Team. Bo came to America to attend college and immediately made an impact at Franklin Pierce University n New Hampshire. He set many school records and was named to the All-Conference team four years in a row. In 1993 and 1994, he was the nation’s leading scorer.

Bo’s professional soccer career began with the Arizona Sandsharks (CISL). He was Rookie of the Year and led the team in scoring. He moved on to the Tampa Bay Terror (NPSL) and again led the team in scoring. In 1996, he was a starter for the New England Revolution (MLS) and in 1997 and 1998 he was member of Montreal Impact (MLS). Bo then took his skills back to the indoor game where he was the Offensive MVP for two seasons with the Baltimore Spirit. In 1998-99, he was the leading scorer for the Detroit Rockers and made his third appearance in the NPSL’s All-Star Game. Bo has scaled back his indoor career, as turning the Voltage into a first class operation has taken much of his time. However, he’s still in high demand. He was recently asked to compete for the US National Team in the 5-on-5 World Indoor Championships.

Bo has lead his Voltage team to an impressive record of 108-47-26, and the 2002-2003 Northeast Division Championship, in the last three years as Head Coach/Player. The Voltage were also the 2005 Franklin County Business of the Year, 2003 Northeast Cup Champions, and were awarded the 2002 Marketing Excellence award, the 2001 Organization of the Year, and 2000 USL Progress of the Year award. In 2010 Bo was inducted into New England Hall of Fame.

In the past two years Bo has completed his FIFA/UEFA B and A Pro license! Bo has been head Coach for the Serbian Women National Team U19 and Senior Team for the past two years. Additionally, Bo is the new Sport Director/Coordinator for the entire Women’s Soccer Program in Serbia.

Certainly among the elite in the United States indoor ranks and top scorer outdoors, Bo looks forward to sharing his talents, knowledge and passion for the game to help develop the skills of young soccer players in Vermont, New Hampshire, upstate New York and southern Quebec.
